This Town
I had the hook of this song running through my head for over a decade and last summer I finally found the time to get a nice sketch of it recorded. I fine-tuned the words and melody some, and by fall was feeling pretty dang good about the overall sound. Then, with help on the mix and mastering by Sam Patlove at Bud’s Recording in Austin, the song was finished and I was ready to make the music video.
As luck would have it I found Derek Porterfield, a super talented cinematographer out on the high plains of Texas, and we got to work. It’s rare to create something you’re proud of as quickly as we did, but thanks to these two fine gentlemen and the support of my beautiful partner in life Dominique it all came together. Careful, this one is a little naughty but not mean spirited.
